One of the signature minerals of Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec — the locality that produces over 388 mineral species including 57 first described there. Large, transparent salmon-pink crystals are iconic collector prizes globally. Some pseudomorphs after serandite are found at the locality. Well-documented in Royal Ontario Museum mineral collection.
