Pentagonite

Preview

Pentagonite is a formal mineral species, a calcium vanadyl phyllosilicate hydrate named for five-fold twinning. It is the dimorph of Cavansite: same chemistry, different structure. It is not an alias of Cavansite. Specimens intergrown with cavansite are natural dimorph pairs and should be labeled as both minerals when both are present. Collectors may keep it for study and display. It is not medical care.
